Enya

I am a queer activist studying Gender Studies and Sociology at Virginia Commonwealth University. I was born and raised in Charlottesville, Virginia, and despite currently living in Richmond, I maintain close ties to the community and PFLAG. I came out while in high school, and understand the unique issues facing LGBTQ youth in school, at home and in their communities. I joined PFLAG to reach out to struggling youth to let them know that they are not alone, are wonderful just the way they are, and deserve to feel safe, happy and loved no matter whose hand they like to hold, as well as to help create safe, loving, and diverse spaces within our community to address the needs of our LGBTQ youth and their families.
