Transgender Health Alliance of Central Virginia (THACVA): Healthcare providers, community advocates, and transgender individuals and their loved ones working together to improve the level of care for the transgender community in our region. Transgender Health Alliance of Central Virginia works to ensure affordable, respectful, comprehensive healthcare for every member of the transgender community through education, advocacy, and outreach.

Shenandoah Valley YES! Alliance: The Shenandoah Valley Youth Equality and Support (YES!) Alliance supports lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer & questioning (LGBTQ) youth in Harrisonburg & surrounding areas. YES! is a proudly diverse organization of lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer (LGBTQ) and questioning youth, allies, and families who aim to serve, educate, empower, and celebrate our community by providing a safe, youth-centered, confidential space with access to support, resources, and social opportunities within the Harrisonburg and Shenandoah Valley communities.

JMU's LGBT & Ally Education Program: The Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual Transgender (LGBT) and Ally Education Program works toward promoting James Madison University's commitment to diversity through education, support, advocacy and the fostering of equity for all students, regardless of sexual orientation or gender identity.
The Mahatma Gandhi Center for Global Nonviolence at JMU: The Gandhi Center at James Madison University promotes justice and nonviolence through education, scholarship and engagement. It functions as a global hub to advance the understanding of, appreciation for and practice of nonviolence, a quiet place for individual research that also hums with intellectual interaction, collaborative endeavors both internal and external and public participation on and off campus. The Gandhi Center serves as an intellectual convening force across Madison's colleges. Established in 2005, the center is the only higher education institution outside of India to be named in honor of Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi (October 2, 1869 - January 30, 1948). Mahatma, meaning "great soul," was an honorific title.
Gay Cville: Events and information for the Charlottesville LGBT community. Includes mailing list subscriptions, event calendar, and information on local supportive businesses and community organizations.
Cville Pride: Charlottesville Pride Community Network exists: To create a vibrant, visible, and unified LGBTQ community presence in Charlottesville and its surrounding region that promotes equality and integrates groups and individuals through events, outreach, resource-sharing, networking, and communications initiatives.
Elkton Pride: The main purpose of the Elkton Pride event is to promote diversity, unity, visibility and self-esteem among lesbians, gay men, bisexuals and transgender persons and to promote a positive image in the Elkton area through a shared activity.
Shenandoah Valley Gay and Lesbian Association (SVGLA): The purpose of the Shenandoah Valley Gay and Lesbian Association is to create a safe, affirming, and fun environment where members are empowered to reach their full human potential. SVGLA’s Goals are: To gather and communicate important community information; To collaborate with allies and inclusive community organizations; To organize events within the greater Valley area for social and educational networking with LGBT people.
Valley AIDS Network: The Valley AIDS Network provides assistance to persons diagnosed with HIV/AIDS with the goal of empowering them to achieve better health and self sufficiency; serves as an advocate for those affected by HIV/AIDS; and is an educational resource for the community.
